Wear a Hat Day - Thursday 28th March 2024!

Dear parent/carer,

March is Brain Tumour Awareness month and Woolwich Polytechnic School for Boys will be supporting the charity Brain Tumour Research by wearing a hat to school on Thursday 28th March 2024.

Staff and students can wear a hat for the day, silly, fun, homemade, plain, colourful, small, large, themed but no offensive slogans!

We are asking staff for a suggested donation of £1, students can donate if they wish to. All donations are to be sent into Reception.

There are currently two competitions running with a free hat workshop taking place Thursday 21st March 3-4pm sign up with Mrs Hawgood at Reception as there are limited spaces available. Students will be able to create their design on a white baseball hat which they can wear on the 28th – Wear a hat day if they wish to.

The second competition is a colouring competition, you can collect an entry form from reception – prizes to be won!

Brain Tumour research receives just 1% of the national spend on cancer for research into brain tumours.

I hope that with your help and support we can raise some money towards this important research. Last year we raised £300, can we beat that total this year?

Thanks as always for your support.
