KS3 Prizegiving - Thursday 10th July 2025

Key Stage 3 Prizegiving - Thursday 10th July 2025
Our Key Stage 3 Prizegiving was a proud celebration of achievement, growth, and the exciting journey ahead for our students.

Year 7 students were recognised for their impressive transition into secondary school life, while Year 8s now look ahead to shaping their futures as they begin to consider their Key Stage 4 options. For our Year 9s, this event marked the end of one chapter and the confident beginning of another, as they step into Key Stage 4 with strong foundations and clear aspirations.

A message from our Headteacher, Mr T. Lawrence:
“The warmth of the weather on Thursday night could not even match the warmth of reception and good feeling our boys experienced as they collected their awards for their progress and efforts in all their subjects. I was delighted to host our four Thamesmead councillors, two past students, and so many parents and carers in applauding our Year 7s, 8s, and 9s. All the prizewinners exemplified being Poly and Proud, and I have no doubt they’ll return to next year’s prizegiving for even more accolades.”

We were thrilled to welcome back two of our alumni, Emmanuel Mensah and Jeffrey Neequaye, who inspired our students with stories of their educational journeys and success in the world of work - reminding us all that not long ago, they were sitting in those very same seats in our sports hall!

We were also honoured to have Councillor Lade Hephzibah Olugbemi join us to present the special prizes, alongside Councillor Avril Lekau, Councillor Ola Babatola, and Councillor Jahdia Spencer, whose presence and support meant so much to our school community.

It was a joy to welcome so many parents, carers, family members, and friends into school for this momentous occasion. Thank you for your continued support - it truly makes a difference.

Enjoy this short video capturing a timelapse of everyone taking their seats, along with a few highlights - photos and clips from the event.
