Sports Day 2025 Highlights - Sun, Spirit & School Pride at Woolwich Polytechnic School for Boys

On Friday 11th July, students from Years 7, 8, and 9 came together for an unforgettable Sports Day 2025, filled with energy, colour, and outstanding athletic performances. The school grounds were transformed with vibrant banners, flags, and decorations proudly created by students, setting the tone for a day of celebration and competition. Despite the soaring temperatures, students gave their all in a variety of track and field events, demonstrating determination, teamwork, and school spirit.

A huge thank you goes to the PE department and all staff members who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure the day ran smoothly. Your efforts made this event a true highlight of the school year.

Mr J. Davies, Head of Physical Education, shared his thoughts:

“Sports Day 2025 was great fun in the sun! So many medals were won and the effort from all students was incredible. We saw some standout performances - Samuel in Year 8 and Chinonso in Year 9 sprinted to victory, Abhyudaya launched a huge throw to win gold in the Year 9 Javelin, and Fawaz soared to first place in the Year 7 High Jump. There were so many more memorable moments, but what truly stood out was the atmosphere - students and staff cheering each other on, united in support and celebration. Well done to everyone involved.”

Thank you to everyone who contributed to making this day so special for our students. It was a shining example of school spirit at its best.
