Important Update: Uniform Changes and Prize Giving Reschedule

Dear Parents and Carers,

Due to the warmer weather forecast for the remainder of the term, we are making some temporary adjustments to our uniform and dress code expectations to help ensure that students remain comfortable and can continue to learn effectively.

Uniform Expectations

From today until the end of term:

  • Students may attend school in their normal uniform but will be encouraged to remove ties, jumpers and blazers when they arrive on site.
  • PE kit is permitted where appropriate.
  • Staff have also been advised to wear lighter, cooler clothing suitable for the weather conditions.

School Day

The Met Office is not currently issuing any weather warnings for our area, and therefore:

  • School will continue to operate with normal start and finish times.
  • We will continue to monitor temperatures throughout the week and will communicate any further changes if required.

Prize Giving

Due to anticipated high temperatures in parts of the school building during the afternoon, Prize Giving Evening originally scheduled for Wednesday 8th July has been postponed to Friday 4th September 2026, 2pm-4pm

Looking Ahead

With Sports Day and Activities Week taking place next week, these temporary adjustments to uniform expectations will remain in place until the end of term to help students stay comfortable and safe during periods of warmer weather.

Thank you for your continued support. If there are any significant changes to the weather forecast or school arrangements, we will contact families promptly.

Kind regards,

Mr Lawrence
