Charity Work

Year 7 donated almost £400 to the Christmas Tree Project in collaboration with the Metropolitan Police – this provides Christmas gifts to disadvantaged children in the local area. They did this with their own donations and events such as a football tournament and cake sale. Thank you Year 7!

Year 8 raised over £650 for Oxfam – an amazing achievement! They held various events over the last few weeks including cake sales, making a Christmas hamper and selling raffle tickets to win it, and gunging their Head of Year, Ms Oyeniyi. What a fantastic effort, Year 8!

Year 9 donated gifts to the local care home for the elderly. They donated almost 50 gifts this year – so many that all the residents received two each and were over the moon! Very generous and kind! Thank you, Year 9!

Year 10 raised money and donated gifts to provide Crisis at Christmas with goods to help the homeless people in London this winter. They organised and ran a Christmas fair and donated their own money, too. This resulted in 30+ boxes of food, blankets and clothes being delivered to Crisis. Thank you, Year 10!

Overall, the students and staff made a fantastic effort this year and beat previous records with their generosity and imagination to give back to others. Well done to them all for showing that they are Poly and Proud!
