PolyMAT is undertaking a project with Funding Solutions for Education. Their established fundraising programme produces branded marketing folders for our schools, completely free of charge whilst generating additional funds across our schools.
This folder project is a fantastic way to build connections throughout our local community. Many local organisations will benefit by supporting the school and placing adverts. By doing so, they help to fund the production of the folders and the schools' income, meaning your marketing folders and funds generated are completely free to the school.
If you wish to take this opportunity to support your school and promote your business, act now to reserve your spot - space is limited. Please register your interest with FSE today on 01933 303520.

To help you to be successful in all curriculum areas, you should spend time exploring your subjects more widely. Reading around your subjects will help to increase your understanding and will be an interesting and rewarding activity.
There is no set formula, nor any ‘required reading’: it is a chance for you to pick topics that fascinate you and to explore them in a variety of ways. There are also no exams or deadlines, and you are free to develop your own lines of research. Do not feel pressured to read something that seems ‘impressive’, let your own interests guide you. Academic exploration is also a good chance for you to think about what you might like to study in the future. The following reading lists are intended to challenge and interest you and deepen your understanding of the subject. Enjoy!

Safeguarding our students is the absolute priority that informs the behaviours we want to see from all stakeholders, and it also informs decisions made by the designated safeguarding lead. Expectations of students’ behaviour can be summarised in the three words: we expect students to be ready, respectful and safe.
Students conduct themselves in a way that helps keep themselves and others safe: they show self-restraint, even in difficult situations when they always politely defer to teachers and associate staff around them. Our students are caring, empathetic and tolerant, celebrating cultural and lifestyle differences. They show their readiness by being punctual to school and lessons, whilst maintaining correct uniform and equipment required to start tasks swiftly and with minimal instruction or reminders.
In summary, teachers teach uninterrupted and students study uninterrupted. Students feel secure so that they can share problems with their tutors/heads of year, knowing that they will be supported through these problems. They know the school rules and understand why the rules are in place.
We also expect that we need to teach students how to behave, through consistency, boundaries and repetition: some students may take longer to acquire a solid foundation of expected behaviour but they will be reminded, taught and sanctioned as appropriate if they fall short of expectations.
