WPSfB wins GCSE Citizenship Studies school of the year at House of Commons!

We are thrilled to announce that our school has won the GCSE Citizenship Studies school of the year award at the Association for Citizenship Teaching National Teaching Awards!
We were nominated for, and won the GCSE Citizenship Studies School of the Year category. This award is for GCSE schools and colleges that have established Citizenship Studies as a respected and engaging subject. Over the years, they have inspired students who value the qualification and enjoy learning in the subject.
The prestigious event took place at the House of Commons on June 3rd, hosted by Rt Hon. the Lord Blunkett.
A huge congratulations to Ms. Briggs, Head of Humanities at WPSfB, who accepted the award from Laura Westcott of Pearson Edexcel. This honour represents a fantastic achievement for our Citizenship teachers and the many students who have excelled in the subject.
Thank you to everyone who has contributed to making Citizenship Studies a success. We couldn’t be prouder.
