Living History: Year 9 Explore Woolwich Polytechnic School for Boys WWI Legacy

On Tuesday 20th May, Year 9 students took an exciting step towards their GCSE History studies by participating in a special workshop exploring Woolwich Polytechnic School for Boys' involvement in the First World War. Led by Professor Peter Doyle from Goldsmiths, University of London, the session offered over 100 students a unique opportunity to delve into the past. With a fascinating collection of First World War artefacts, Professor Doyle brought to life the remarkable stories of Woolwich Poly’s staff and students during the war, making history feel vivid and personal.
