Year 7 were asked to donate toys and presents to the Christmas Tree Project.  This is run each year by the Metropolitan Police, to provide a Christmas present for disadvantaged children in London.  The year 7s and the pastoral team really smashed it this year and they raised over £500 by running various events from cake sales and penalty shoot outs to car washes and raffles.  They did a fantastic job and by raising so much and they've managed to send several sacks of presents off to the children that really need it.

Year 8 were asked to donate money to Oxfam Unwrapped, their challenge was to raise £250 to buy farm equipment for a village in a 3rd world country in order to provide food for the village.  Year 8 and their tutors have also smashed their target and have raised over £400!  In assembly this week we will be 'live buying' both the farm equipment and other resources needed to help people less fortunate than ourselves.

Year 9 were asked to donate Christmas gifts for the elderly in our local community.  Year 9 really threw themselves into this and donated lots of gifts as well as raising money to buy even more!  Because of their fantastic effort and generosity, over 60 gifts have been taken to our local care home and will make many members of our local community smile this Christmas.

Year 10 have been asked to contribute food, toiletries and clothes to Crisis in order to support them with helping the homeless this winter. Students have brought items in for the collections as well as donated money to buy even more.  They have all done a fantastic job with their contributions, particular mentions to B2 and T2 for almost tripling their form targets.

Year 11 have all been going through their cupboards and raising cash to buy food for the local foodbanks.  The foodbanks in Greenwich borough support hundreds of families in need each week when they are in crisis.  The boys and their tutors have been fantastic in their efforts, we have boxes and boxes of food to give to donate.

Thank you to all students and staff that have contributed for their efforts and generosity.
